Tolerance in a Campus is Crucial

Pict by :
university-employees/ )

Tolerance is a way of expressing oneself in allowing others to say and do things that people like without being disturbed. Tolerance needs to be applied to everyday life, especially on campus. Tolerance is to respect the rights of other people who have ideas and values that do not match a person's own ideas and values (Kele, 1995: 73). Wilson (1991) defines tolerance as allowing many ideas that could be different to be expressed and as approaching other people within a worldwide goal, being self-govering of value differences. When someone arrives on a campus, he/she is likely to encounter students who have different perspectives, lifestyles, and values than others. Practiced tolerance will result in a better attitude. Tolerance on campus is crucial to respecting each other.
There are many reasons why tolerance on campus is crucial. The first reason is tolerance can make respect for others' decisions. Research shows that not everyone has the same opinion or perspective as other people. Someone should be able to make whatever decision that people make. Everyone has a right to feel safe and comfortable on a campus, but not all people are respectful of other decisions. If someone disagrees with the decision about perspective from the others, there is no problem, because everyone is allowed to have a perspective that is different from the other sides. Besides, as long as the decisions are good and not disturbing to each other, there is also no problem. Secondly, the reason is tolerance can keep other people’s feelings towards each other. When someone can keep the feeling of others, it will make others do the same things with him/herself. By it all, on a campus it would make a person comfortable being friends with each other. In this case, these whole reasons are the key to crucial tolerance on a campus.
There are many kinds of tolerance that are crucial on campus. The first kind is religion. (Hurtado & Harper, 2007; Mayhew et al., 2016), research on how religion influences campus climate. The reason is because if someone is on a campus, maybe everyone will find some of her/his friends have different religions than others itself. Everyone doesn’t have to be surprised and please don’t judge them, because it’s their choice. The second is racism. According to some research, it has focused on understanding the campus climate for racial and ethnic minorities. When someone has a friend whose skin color is different from others, someone doesn’t have to judge and discriminate against them. Actually, discriminating against any student on the basis of race or ethnicity is a bad attitude inside the campus. The third kind is disability. On a campus, everyone will find people that have disability, whether physical or mental. Someone should respect and not judge anything else. Typically, people with disabilities can do things for themselves and want to be treated normally by their peers and lecturers. Everyone should support them, because they only need support from people around their side. They don’t need some critics or judges, but only support. The last kind is socioeconomic status. Everyone has a socio economic status that is different for others. Despite their differences in socioeconomic status, it’s not being different from each other. Students who have low socio economic status don’t necessarily mean that they are underrated and vice versa, too. They are all in the same position. There is no difference and no discrimination. All these kinds have demonstrated the crucial tolerance within the campus.
In summary, that’s all the reasons why tolerance on campus is crucial. Tolerance can make someone respect each other and make more understanding about the circumstances of others. Besides, there are many kinds of tolerance that are crucial in campus, such as religion, racism or ethnic, disability, socioeconomic status, etc. Everyone doesn’t have to discriminate and doesn’t judge people who have different perspectives than others. In addition, everyone needs some support and tolerance from each other. In this case, it can make life better. So, tolerance on campus is crucial because it can keep other people’s feelings to each other.

The Impact of Technology on Daily Life
By : Cindy Sasnia Putri

Hello everyone, 🙌. Today I would like to update my blog again and my topic about Technology. I believe that everyone has heard a lot about it, but in my opinion, this is an interesting topic. Besides, my essay today will also discuss examples of hedging. So, please don't miss it guys.. Read carefully and don't forget to give your comments below.🤗

We know that technology plays an  important role in fulfilling our daily needs. If we look around us, technology perhaps  can be seen everywhere from the small pen to the airplane. A revolution in technology has made human life much easier. We can do our tasks much faster and in a much easier way, saving time. Besides, in our daily life, technology serves us in many different ways to help us do our activities for our needs. Television, for example, is the best entertainment and information medium. Another example is smartphones that not only help us talk to another person but also maybe the functions are devices to take a picture and watch video, and we can even use them to browse the Internet. All of them probably to show us how important technology is in our daily life. In addition, some people believe that technology can make their lives better than ever. No one can imagine a life without technology. Imagine if airplanes had not been invented, then traveling from one country to another countries would take a long time. In the medical field, many people’s lives have been saved and cured with technology. Without technology, our life would have been helpless and would have never been this better. That's all why technology seems to play an important role in human life.
Currently, the most popular topic is the internet. It proved that over 2 billion people in this universe are using the Internet. The number of websites is amazing. There are so many websites that provide different kinds of knowledge, experience, entertainment and business. Now it is easy for us to share with each other through the internet. We can access worldwide news using the Internet. All of what we want to know and all we need are provided by the internet. All of this proves that the Internet seems familiar to many people.
On the other hand, some people assume that technology, especially the internet, causes a big disaster to human life. They think that social networking makes our generation waste their time. But the fact tells us that it is not true. Based on CNN’s online-news site recently posted a poll, asking the respondents whether they are tired of networking or not. It showed that 74% had chosen “YES.” In addition, some people say that maybe raping, hacking, piracy, and plagiary are disasters created by the Internet. But, based on the fact, when something is going wrong, we can’t blame the technology. The analogical thing looks like a murderer who killed someone using a knife. We can’t blame the knife, but, instead, we must blame the murderer who used technology (knife) as a medium to do the wrong thing. The other example is raping. Teenagers rape the girls because they appear to be watching videos using cell phones downloaded from the Internet. It is not the goal of the Internet and the cell phone’s fault. Lack of morality and lack of regulation in uploading and downloading are the problems. If people don’t use the technology as wisely and as they can, it’s  probably not technology’s fault, but it is a matter of improper morality. So, that's an assumption from people who think the Internet is a bad one.
In conclusion, as we know, technology plays an important rule for everyone. Many people believe that technology can bring human life this better than before. One of the most popular topics of technology is the internet. Many people perhaps know a lot about it. On the other hand, some people assume that technology, especially the internet, causes a big disaster to human life. It depends on the users of technology. If they can use it wisely, there is no problem. In addition, there are five solutions that suggest from some people to improve the advantages of technology such as fixing the morality of people itself, blocking the porn sites, law enforcement, parental control in the computer or smartphone, and the right entertainment in the right time. So, technology has many impacts on human life.

E - Learning
By : Cindy Sasnia Putri

Hello everyone 🙌, today I would like to post my blog about one of the impact of COVID-19 in our life, especially in our education. Besides, it also has correlation with our material in Academic Writing. We will discuss about Signalling Words. If you want to know more explain about signalling words, so please read my essay and don't forget to give your comment at below guys. Because my essay give some examples of signalling words. Please enjoy it guys.. 🤗

Online learning is a very well-known and viral thing today. In this country, e-learning is often used to replace learning systems that are available in schools or on campus, it begins face-to-face and becomes online. That's happened quite frequently since the emergence of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in this country that could be detrimental to the health of the body. All agencies or schools will have to do this. That's what makes e-learning so famous, especially in the world of education.
A lot of applications that support e-learning such as, google classroom, zoom, whatsapp, google form, blog, etc. These applications are used by a teacher or lecturer as a media tool to support e-learning processes that are taking place with their students. In addition, the application is also used for assignments to students in the form of soft files. The app may be downloaded or installed through a smartphone or a personal laptop. With those apps, e-learning is running smoothly.
E-learning has a function in helping education. A considerable amount of ease can be gained through  e-learning. For example, We can learn anywhere without having to go to school or to college. We just need to provide technology, such as smartphones, laptops, and something like that as a learning media. Besides, we also need to provide quotas or WI-FI to support the learning media to make it easier to access. Certainly, it really helps us in the world of education to make the learning process easier, especially in this covid-19 quarantine.
On the other hand,  E-learning is also not effective to do. In fact, e-learning is requiring a lot of quotas to access the internet. It might make the expense of the purchases of the quotas bigger. Additionally, there are some teachers or lecturers who still don't understand the use of technology and learning applications. It would disorient teachers or professors to understand the applications that may sound foreign to them. So, they have to learn about how to use it. By e-learning, Many students have been assigned the tasks by her teacher or lecturer to replace meetings in school or on campus. It can cause students to become exhausted in their assignments, because it's not just the one subject that the student has taken, but many of the subjects that the student has to understand. It also often makes students' health down, because the immune system isn't very well maintained. Lack of rest time is also one of the triggering factors of a student's lack of the immune system because they are doing so many tasks. That's all of the facts that prove e-learning is far less effective if applied continuesly.
In conclusion, e-learning has both positive impact and negative impact. It all depends on a teachers or the lecturers with their students. E-learning is often used to replace learning systems that are available in schools or on campus, it begins face-to-face and becomes online. But, please take a look back at the basic purpose of e-learning, so that there is no misunderstanding. In that way, learning to teach is successfully accomplished and the undesirable is avoided.

Coronavirus or what is commonly known as COVID-19 is one of the most serious problems in the world. Everyone must have heard the news. According to https://www.who.int ,corona virus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered corona virus. The corona virus (COVID-19) can spread so fast inside a body of human. That's why it's a big problem because the virus is getting quite serious and very dangerous.
People infected with this virus will have breathing disorders that are not underestimated. Corona virus will make the people exposed to with symptomps to be aware of. Symptoms include the cold sore throat cough, fever, difficulty in breathing and so on. Spreading the virus inside your body is incredibly fast, especially if you have to interact with other people.  People who get sick with coronavirus will get disorders in their health.
In Indonesia the percentage of people infected with this virus is very large. Even in the Indonesian world, it is one of the largest percentage of numbers in coronavirus (COVID-19).      Actually, that coronavirus could be prevented. We can prevented it by being more careful and staying home if there were not important. Stay at home if you have a runny nose or a cough, a sore throat or a fever. Avoid contact with others (social distancing). Limit visiting people with vulnerable health. Only call your doctor if your symptoms worsen (a fever above 38 degrees Celcius and difficulty breathing) and you need medical assistance. If we're exposed to the corona virus, we can't spread it to other people because we stay at home. It'll take us 14 days to figure out if we get coronavirus (COVID-19) or not. In addition, you should wash your hands thoroughly and clean as often as possible. Hand washing can help prevent germs, viruses in your hands. You must drink plenty of warm mineral water and don't let your throat dry up. That's all the way to prevented coronavirus (COVID-19) in ourselves.
In summary, coronavirus is one of the most dangerous and serious problem on this world. The virus is very fast spreading in the body. If someone already has this virus, it would show symptoms such as cold sore throat cough, fever, difficulty in breathing and so on. Indonesia is one of the most persentage of people with the coronavirus (COVID-19). Everyday the infected number keep rising. My First Time Away From Home
By Cindy Sasnia Putri

Leaving home just to pursue education is quite a challenge for someone. It's usually happened because home is a place where all of the family is together. Everyone wants to be close to their family. But, there are times when one should be away from home. There are many reasons why a person should go away from his or her home, like going for education or looking for work out of town. It also happened to me. My name is Cindy Sasnia Putri Ananda Kadir. My hometown is Dumai City. This is my first time far away from home to continue my education outside the city.
After I graduated from high school, I decided to continue my education outside the city. The city I intended to continue my education in was Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The reason I chose Pekanbaru city is because Pekanbaru is not too far away from my home. In addition, there was a famous college and many people wanted to study there. I want to continue my education at the University of Riau. The University of Riau is one of the largest universities in the province of Riau and it has a good quality of education. That's why I decided to continue my education by enrolling online at the University of Riau. When I saw my name in the announcement, it surprised me because I passed to enter the University of Riau, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, English Department Study Program. My decision to attend university outside of town came true.

When my parents knew that I was going on to Pekanbaru city, exactly the University of Riau, my parents were hesitating to let me go alone, because it was my first time away from home. My parents were sad and felt that they didn't want to be away from me. But, on the other hand, my parents wanted me to succeed by continuing my education according to my wishes. My parents allowed me to take care of myself even though I was away from home. They gave me advice, so that I could study well.
When I was away from home for the first time, I was very sad because I will be away from my family and rarely see my home again. But, I still had to continue my education as I intended. It's all for my future to get better. In addition, my parents took part in driving me to Pekanbaru city. When I arrived at Pekanbaru city, I felt something different from what I feared when I first set out to go away from home. I sense a different atmosphere in my previous home. In Pekanbaru, I already have friends even though I'm new to Pekanbaru. I already feel comfortable in the city of Pekanbaru. So, my parents won't have to worry anymore because I'm comfortable here even though my parents always feel sad far from me.
In the end, home is a place that can bring a family together and make a family comfortable. Of course, everyone doesn't want to be separated from his or her family, but something telling them to be apart from his or her family. Well, being away from home is a sad thing, but it can't always be sad if you never try it. My parents didn't originally allow me to go away from home, but then my family realized that leaving would make my life better and more successful. So, they allowed and put their full trust in me. I didn't want to upset the trust my parents gave me. So, I was very good at keeping that trust. So, my first impression of being away from home was comfortable and wasn't so bad.

About My Life
By : Cindy Sasnia Putri Ananda Kadir

      Assalamu'alaikum Warohmatullahi Wabarokatuh..
     Hello everyone 🤗

Here, I will share my life experiences, from my childhood to the present. I always have a motto for my life, "Find your dreams by working hard and praying~". Yeah this is my life and my experiences.
I would like to introduce my self. My fullname is Cindy Sasnia Putri Ananda Kadir,  but you can call me Cindy. I was born on June 9th,2000. I was born in one of the largest cities in Riau province, namely the city of Dumai. I have a strongest mother, who is willing to sacrifice anything for her childs, who never feels tired and always patient in facing her daughter. Besides that, I also have a father who really loves his family.
My father's named Abdul Kadir, and my mother's named Hasnah. I also have an older sister who is very loving and carrying to me. we never fight with each other, because we loving to each other. My sister is Vivi Delfi Silviana Kadir. She was graduated from Midwife Academy in city of Padang, a few month ago.
My parents told me about the development of my life from my childhood to the present. I'm glad to hear that, because I can grow with a good condition. When I was 3th years old, I was happy to played with my friends and I talked very much. At the age of 4th years old, my sister taught me to learned anything that I can in my age, start from reading, counting, etc.
From my childhood, my parents directed me to wear Muslimah clothing. I was accustomed to using hijab wherever. My parents always give me and my sister an advice, education and etc, both in the academic field and in the non-academic field. My parents always give us guidances about manners, relationships, how to be a good muslimah and so on.
My parents never forbade me to choose the school I wanted. because according to my parents, if something is forced based on desires, then the results tend not to be good. My parents didn't want to put pressure on their children, but instead, my parents wanted their children to do something with a sincere and sincere heart. Thats way, science will certainly be easy to enter in our head.therefore, my parents gave me the freedom to choose school. Provided that I must prove to my parents that I will not disappoint them and I will study seriously. My parents trusted me and I did not want to waste the trust of them.
I occupied Elementary School at the age of 6th years. I chose the elementary school I wanted, namely, SDN 022 JAYA MUKTI, Dumai. The first reason I chose the school was because I wanted to go to school with my sister. because my sister also went to school at SDN 022 Jaya Mukti, Dumai. I graduated from elementary school at the age of 12th years. I am happy because I can realize the conditions put forward by my parents. When I was in elementary school, I managed to get a class champion and my grades were satisfying.
When I graduated from elementary school, I went to the school I wanted, namely MTsN 1 Dumai. MTs.N 1 Dumai is one of the most favorite Islamic-based schools in the city of Dumai. I enrolled at MTsN 1 Dumai, through several tests, both written and verbally. I was happy because I could go to the school that I wanted from so many people who wanted to go to that school.
From my childhood, I really like English. in my opinion, English is an international language that is needed for the future. and I really want to learn at the same time explore English. so, I chose to take an English extracurricular study club at my school. My parents told me that they were proud of having children who would listen to their advices and children who never wasted their time.
After I graduated from MTsN 1 Dumai, I chose to continue my education at MAN 1 Dumai. Like MTsN 1 Dumai, MAN 1 Dumai is the only top-level school based on Islam and is also a top Islamic state school in the city of Dumai (including the favorite school in the city of Dumai). When I attended MAN 1 Dumai, precisely when I was in 10th grade, I attended the provincial and national PASKIBRAKA selection in Dumai City. PASKIBRAKA is one form of defense efforts to raise the Indonesian flag. Many participants from various schools participated in this PASKIBRAKA selection. I am the only representative from the school who made it to the next stage. The various types of selection that we faced, such as medical tests, written tests, interviews using English, marching rules, and much more. after participating in various types of selection, then only 4 people were chosen (2 men and 2 women), and of the many participants who took part in this selection, I managed to escape this selection being held last. And when I wanted to be sent to Pekanbaru (the capital of Riau province) to take part in the training, and that's where I was just told about the mandatory requirements. After hearing some of these conditions, I finally chose to refuse to take the opportunity. As for the conditions proposed, among others, during training and when raising the Indonesian flag, I had to open my veil and I had to cut my hair to my shoulders. Initially this requirement was not attached to the invitation, but it turned out that there were some changes that really made me disappointed. But I do not regret the decisions I make, because I always remember my parents. According to the upbringing that I got from my parents, although like any sparkling world, never once in a while to let go of honor as a Muslim woman. Meaning that I don't want to let go of my headscarf even though the opportunity is in front of my eyes. In my opinion, defending the country can not only be realized with PASKIBRAKA alone, but by obeying existing regulations.

When I was elevated in 11th grade, I managed to get back into the chosen class and the chosen department at my school. I managed to enter the Department of Natural Sciences. majors that are in great demand in my school. And when I was in 11th grade, I was invited to go back to PASKIBRA training in the city, because I was already a member of PASKIBRA. because this exercise is not like a selection when I was in 10th class. This exercise may use a headscarf. and finally I didn't mind to follow him.
My teacher was very supportive of me, they guided me until I won the overall champion in my school. I am very grateful because I can prove to my parents that I am serious in learning the blessings of my prayers and the support of my parents who are always there whenever I need them.
When I was in 12th grade, I faced various tests with quite extra preparation, especially in the face of the National Examination. The result I got that I managed to graduate with one of the highest average grades in my school. although according to some people my value is not too high, but I am very happy, because it is purely the result of my efforts and the prayers of the people closest to me.
I chose to continue my education at the University of Riau, especially in English Departementl Study Program. I am grateful because I managed to continue my education at the campus of my dreams through the SNMPTN.  Besides that, I was also accepted at UIN SUSKA in Riau through the SPAN-PTKIN line. I was also accepted in several other private universities without taking any tests. But I decided and chose to continue my S1 in University of Riau, English Departement at FKIP. and I am very proud to be here at Riau University. the reason is because Riau University is one of the largest universities in Riau Province. Lots of students who want to enter the University of Riau.
Today, I'm 4th semester in English Department, University of Riau. I decided to join in organization of English Department, namely English Student Association or ESA. My position in ESA is Head of Social Relation Bureau, Social and Politic Division. Social and Politic division took care of the political issues and advocacy of the college students. Not only that, Social and Politic division is also involved in social relation, human being or something like that.
In there, I learned many valuable lessons and experiences from ESA. In organization, I also get a lot of contacts, not just from the English Department Study Program, but from the other study program. I'm really thanksfull for everything.

Okay guys ... that's the experience and story of my life ... hopefully it can be taken as a lesson guys  😊    Thank you and see you again guys 🤗

Wassalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb..

Professional Teacher

Professional  Teacher
(By : Cindy Sasnia Putri Ananda Kadir)

     Assalamu’alaikum warohmatullahi wabarokatuh....
     Hello everyone ... 🤗

Here, I will tell you all about professional teachers. In your opinion, what is a professional teacher like? Of course you are also curious, what is a professional teacher like?
Please follow and see the story from me guys ..
Teacher is a very noble job, because the teacher is a teacher who gives knowledge to many people. So it is not surprising if the teacher's work is idolized among many people or society in general. However, if you have become a teacher, the responsibility given is very large and influential. For this reason, a professional attitude is needed to become a teacher.
Professional teachers are all people who have authority and responsibility for the education of students (both individually and non-individually). A professional teacher must have knowledge, skills and be manifested in behavior. In Indonesia, a professional teacher is needed, because it can improve the quality of education in Indonesia.
A teacher must have basic competencies as a form of authority and ability to carry out tasks as a teacher. Competence is a set of knowledge, skills and behavior because of the practice, so that behavior is formed. While the basic competency of a teacher is a reference to roundness of knowledge, roundness of skills and attitudes that are realized.
Competence possessed by a teacher becomes an important capital in the field of education. A professional teacher must be able to develop personality, interact and communicate, master the foundation of education, understand teaching materials, arrange teaching programs, implement and evaluate the results and the teaching and learning process that has been carried out or has been done.
The teacher as a professional also means that the teacher's work can only be done by someone who has an academic qualification (the academic qualifications here are those who have special knowledge and training such as FKIP (Teacher Training and Education Faculty) or other academic training), have competency and educator certificates according to the requirements for each particular type and education.
Professional teachers must have four basic competencies as a teacher, namely pedagogic, personality, professional and social. In addition to being required to be skilled in teaching, teachers must also have extensive knowledge skills, be wise, and be able to socialize well.
Being a professional teacher must meet certain criteria, namely:
1. Have good character and character, so that it can be a good example for students.
2. Having the ability to educate and teach students well
3. Mastering the material or learning material that will be taught to students
4. Having academic qualifications and educational background according to the field of duty
5. Mastering various educational administrations, for example learning syllabus, curriculum, KKM, and so on.
6. Have high enthusiasm and motivation to devote knowledge to students
7. Never stop learning and developing their abilities
8. Following various kinds of training to add insight and experience
9. Active, creative and innovative in developing learning, and always up to date on information or problems that occur around
10. Mastering Technology and Computer Science, such as computers, the internet, blogs, websites, and others
11. Always reading as an effort to add insight
12. Never stop working
13. Can interact and socialize well to anyone
14. Active in the activities of educational organizations, such as the Republic of Indonesia Teachers Association (PGRI), and others
15. Having a sincere, sincere attitude and love in teaching
Based on the experience that I got, each teacher has their own way of teaching to become a professional teacher, who will be an example or role model for many people, especially students. When I was in school (both elementary school, junior high school and high school) I felt that there were some teachers who were still trying to meet the criteria for becoming a professional teacher. Various learning methods that I have got when I went to school. Every teacher who enters the class, must have different learning methods. Some use discussion learning methods, some use learning methods that are cooperative in nature (collaboration). Each teacher has his own creativity.
And from this subject, it can be concluded that professional teachers can be measured through existing criteria, which are felt by the students themselves. And some of these criteria have indeed come from within a teacher. For example, such as good morals, sincerity and sincerity in teaching, and much more. The teacher is a figure that can be fooled and imitated by many people. In addition, each teacher also has different ways and methods in learning, which of course the methods and learning can affect the quality of the students themselves.
A professional teacher must also be able to master the class, in order to create a comfortable learning atmosphere in the classroom. And a teacher must also have a strong mental and soul in facing various characters from students and from other parties. A teacher must also be good at acting, meaning that a teacher must be smart and wise in making decisions and facing various problems with a cold head, patient and not careless in doing things. So that the learning process can  perfectly.
The conditions that must be met to become a professional teacher include, teachers must have academic qualifications, competence as a teacher, educator certificate, and of course physically and mentally healthy.
Well, that's the reason why I say being a professional teacher is a dream for many people, because professional teachers can improve the quality of education in Indonesia or even in the world. In addition, the teacher is also one of the noble jobs and educates the life of the nation and becomes a role model for many people.
Okay guys, I think that’s all .. Hopefully it can be taken as a lesson guys😊 Thank you and see you again guys 🤗

Assalamu’alaikum wr.wb..

Assalamu’alaikum wr.wb..
